We are a private-pay practice.

This model allows Dr. Mike to provide unhurried appointments, thoughtful evaluation, and highly personalized care without the limitations often imposed by insurance plans.

We provide a detailed superbill that patients may submit to their insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

Our focus is on delivering the highest standard of psychiatric care, with a level of access and continuity that insurance-based models often cannot support.

Can I use my insurance, because I need to use my insurance to pay for your services?

We understand that using insurance is important for many patients, and we want to be as helpful and transparent as possible.

Our practice is private-pay, and we do not bill insurance directly. This model allows Dr. Mike to provide a concierge-level experience with unhurried appointments, comprehensive evaluations, and a high degree of personal attention without the restrictions often imposed by insurance plans.

You can still use your insurance benefits by submitting a superbill (a detailed receipt we provide after each visit) to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement.

Many of our patients choose this approach because it allows them to receive the highest quality psychiatric care while still accessing reimbursement through their insurance when available.

How much will my insurance pay?

Since we are a private-pay practice and do not participate in insurance plans, your insurance company determines any reimbursement you may receive.

Many patients are able to obtain partial out-of-network reimbursement by submitting the superbill we provide after each visit.

Coverage varies depending on your specific plan, deductible, and out-of-network benefits. We encourage you to contact your insurance company directly.  They can tell you exactly what they reimburse for out-of-network psychiatric service.

We do our best to accommodate new patients as promptly as possible. Because we limit the number of patients we see, we are often able to offer timely appointments and maintain excellent continuity of care.

Availability can vary, but we will always make every effort to schedule your first visit as soon as possible and at a time that works well for you.
